With 22 goals in the Turkish Super Lig thus far, Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu is now just three goals away from matching the record of the most prolific foreign player ever for Trabzonspor in a single season.
Should he get to the 25-goal mark with six rounds of matches to the end of the regular season in Turkey, he will surpass the record of Alexander Sorloth and equal that of Shota Arvelade.
Trabzonspor coach Fatih Tekke has backed the Nigerian striker to finish as Goal King of Turkey this season to add to the top scorer award he won in Belgium when he featured for Genk.
In his first season in Turkey, Onuachu fired 15 goals while on loan from English club Southampton.
