Kenneth Omeruo has told SCORENigeria that there is no cause for alarm and he will be fit for next month’s AFCON after he was forced out of Saturday’s La Liga clash at Huesca.
Omeruo was forced out of the game in the 53rd minute after he bagged a yellow card in the 17th minute.
“It was a minor knock and I had to come out to avoid further aggravating it,” he assured SCORENigeria
“I am going on holiday with my family before returning to Nigeria (for AFCON training camp in Asaba).”
Omeruo’s club Leganes ended the season in 13th position with the Chelsea defender posting 28 appearances in the Spanish top flight.
He is set for his second AFCON after he was named on the provisional squad for Egypt 2019.
