Club Brugge forward David Okereke has become the third high-profile Nigeria star to test positive for Coronavirus.
Paul Onuachu of Genk and Samuel Kalu of Ligue 1 club Bordeaux also tested positive for Covid-19, but have since recovered.
Club Brugge announced that Okereke has since been quarantined.
He will therefore miss Sunday’s clash against Zulte-Waregem.
Incidentally, the former Spezia of Italy star opened his goals account for the new season at the weekend in a 4-1 win over Waasland-Beveren.
Last season, he netted nine goals in the league.
