Fans of SD Ponferradina are again gushing over the quality of Kelechi Nwakali after their club racked up their second straight win of the new season with the Super Eagles midfielder playing a starring role once more.
Ponferradina followed up the win at Cartagena on the opening of the season to win 2-1 at home against UD Ibiza Monday night.
Nwakali caught the eye in central midfield for the entire 90 minutes of action.
He was all over the pitch, completed eight long passes, had a 82.4% pass accuracy and delivered three key passes.
“That we have signed Nwakali for free is a master class,” raved Yurismo after Monday night’s victory.
Alberto Rivas said: “Nwakali is the best thing that has happened to Ponferadina in a very long time.
“Vision of the game, good coverage and exquisite touch on the ball.
“Top of the class.”
Nwakali’s club are now second on the table with six points from two matches.
