Anthony Nwakaeme has celebrated Trabzonspor march into the final of the Turkish Cup.
Nwakaeme, Paul Onuachu and Chibuike Nwaiwu all featured Wednesday night as Trabzonspor came from behind to beat Genclerbirligi 2-1 to reach the cup final, where they will now face Konyaspor.
The veteran forward said his team now hope to win the cup competition.
“It’s an important victory for us. We’re in the final,” he said in a post-match interview.
“Hopefully we will get a result in the final as well.”
This is the third straight Turkish Cup final for Trabzonspor, but in the previous two finals they have lost to Besiktas and then Galatasaray.
They have won the competition nine times with their last triumph being in the 2019-2020 season.
