From being heavily criticised by Celtic fans to becoming one of the team’s biggest heroes this season, Kelechi Iheanacho has admitted he did not know how he handled the pressure to score a stoppage time penalty to ensure his club are now just a win away from being crowned champions again of Scotland.

Iheanacho stepped forward in the 99th minute to tuck away the match winner at Motherwell to ensure that the result of Saturday’s home game against leaders Hearts will now decide the championship in Scotland.
“To be fair, I don’t have words and I don’t know how I did that, but we’ve done it,” the Super Eagles striker told Sky Sports after his late match winner.
“I think first of all I just remember that I’ve thought this type of thing before and I just kept my cool and brave.
“It’s scary to be fair but I don’t know what I was thinking.
“Thank God we got the win so we’re happy.”
Celtic are just a point behind Hearts and a win in front of their fans Saturday will see them retain the Scottish championship after a most turbulent campaign that saw them change several managers.
