Anthony Nwakaeme netted his 11th goal of the season in a 3-1 win at Goztepe for Trabzonspor to stay top of the standings after the Turkish Super Lig restarted after it was suspended due to the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Nwakaeme opened scoring for his club with a header in the 16th minute.
He has now scored a goal more than what he delivered in his first season in Turkey.
Trabzonspor stay top with 56 points from 27 matches.
The win means they move three points clear of second-placed Basakasehir and six points away from third-placed champions Galatasaray.
Should Trabzonspor win the league, they may not feature in the UEFA Champions League after they were banned for breaching the financial fair play.
However, they have appealed the ruling.
