Daring Enyimba winger Joseph Atule is the NPFL Player of Week 28.
He scored in the 45th and 69th minutes for ‘The People’s Elephant’ to thrash Kano Pillars 5-0 and climb to second place in the NPFL standings.
It was the heaviest defeat suffered by Pillars in 22 years, when they fell by the same margin to Julius Berger.
‘Big 7’ has now netted three goals since his transfer to Enyimba this term.
“I am so, so happy that I am back to my best because this is what is expected of me,” Atule said.
“The fans should expect more from me.”
Super Eagles interim coach Finidi George said he is delighted with the form of the former Katsina United and Lobi Stars forward.
“This is the Atule we signed,” Finidi remarked.
“I am happy with him, it has taken him some time to get to this form, but with such form for the last 11 games, I will sign him again.”
