This past weekend, Nasarawa United captain Anas Yusuf snapped out of a two-month goals drought to consolidate his leading position in the NPFL goals race.
The winger grabbed his 10th goal in the NPFL in his team’s 3-2 loss at Heartland.
He got his ninth goal of the campaign on October 27, when his goal proved to be the match winner at home against Kano Pillars.
His tally has included hat-tricks against El Kanemi Warriors and Abia Warriors.
He will need to now score more goals to get Nasarawa United off the bottom of the league table.
Veteran midfielder Rabiu Ali is two goals behind on the goals chart with eight goals for Kano Pillars, while Ibrahim Mustapha (El Kanemi Warriors) and Emmanuel Ogbole (Kwara United) have each netted seven goals thus far.
