They will represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League along with the runners-up of the NPFL.
Rangers recorded an unassailable 67 points with a +22 goals difference from 37 matches to win their eighth league championship.
They thus pulled five points clear of closest rivals Remo Stars with only a round of matches to the end of the season.
They last won the title eight years ago in front of their home fans.
Enugu Governor Peter Mbah was part of a sold-out crowd as Rangers took a deserved lead on 32 minutes courtesy of a free kick from 30 metres by Kenechukwu Agu.
The outstanding Chidiebere Nwobodo made the game safe for ‘The Flying Antelopes’ on 65 minutes, when he chipped the ball over Insurance goalkeeper Amas Obasogie.
