Chuba Akpom is the clear favourite to be named Player of the Month for December in the English Championship after he won the award in November.
In December, the former Arsenal ace scored a hat-trick for Middlesbrough against Wigan and was also on target against Luton Town.
He is the leading scorer in the Championship with 13 goals.
The striker, who has pledged his international allegiance to the Super Eagles, recently had his contract at ‘Boro extended by a year to cool off interest from clubs in the Premier League as his team gun for a return to the top flight in England.
The other nominees are Viktor Gyokeres (Coventry City), Amad Diallo, Ross Stewart (both Sunderland) and Iliman Ndiaye and James McAtee (both Sheffield United).
