Nigerian strikers Rume Akporoh and Francis Ayuba were on target today for Mozambican champions Black Bulls to thrash Enyimba 3-0 and deliver a huge body blow to the CAF Confederation Cup hopes of ‘The People’s Elephant’.
Enyimba are now rock bottom of their group with a point, while Black Bulls have four points midway through the mini-league stage of the competition.
Both teams will clash again in a reverse tie in Uyo on Sunday, January 5, 2025.
Egyptian clubs Zamalek and Al Masry are the other teams in this group and both of them are on four points each before their local derby later today.
Home team Black Bulls, who boast a strong Nigerian contingent, were rewarded for a strong start in the 17th minute, when big striker Akporoh headed home off a corner.
They doubled their lead in the second half via a corner kick before former Flying Eagles striker Francis Ayuba, who came in for his injured captain in the first half, made it 3-0 in the 84th minute of this encounter in Maputo.

They lost to a Mozambican club side. Whether the entire black bullet team are Nigerians the team represent Mozambique and not naija.
Don’t in anyway console yourself by enyimba’s disastrous performance in maputo.
