NFF president Ibrahim Gusau has dared any national team coach to go public and accuse him of interfering in his selections.
“I have never interfered or told a coach the player he should invite,” Gusau said in an interview with Eagle7fm radio
“I don’t even stay in the same hotel with the Super Eagles.”
SCORENigeria has reported that “powerful interests” delayed the release of the Super Eagles final squad to the 2025 AFCON.
The key stakeholders wanted to impose certain players on the squad.
Gusau was also evasive about seeking re-election in September 2026, insisting his focus now is the 2025 AFCON and he does not wish to be distracted.
