National Sports Commission (NSC) Shehu Dikko will tomorrow lead a strong delegation of officials to FIFA headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland, to meet over the vacuum caused by the resignation of the NFF executive committee led by Ibrahim Gusau.
The previous information was that top officials of FIFA as well as CAF were to come down to Abuja to meet with the NSC on the way forward for Nigerian football following the resignation of the NFF board.
The meeting in Zurich is expected to give birth to a Normalisation Committee that will restructure the governance of the sport in the country leading up to fresh elections into the executive committee.
In the absence of the NFF board, the most senior official at the NFF secretariat, Emmanuel Ikpeme, has taken over the day-to-day running of Nigerian football.
New heads have since been named for the country’s various leagues including the NPFL, NNL, NWFL and NLO.
