The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) today announced the Super Eagles will play a friendly against 2022 World Cup qualifiers Costa Rica in San Jose.
The match will be played on November 10.
It will be the first-ever meeting between the two countries.
Costa Rica are drawn in Group E of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar along with Spain, Germany and Japan.
The match will be played a week before another friendly for the Super Eagles against another 2022 World Cup-bound team Portugal in Lisbon.
The Super Eagles are handled by Portuguese coach Jose Peseiro.
Last month, the three-time African champions played two matches in Algeria.
They drew 2-2 with an Algerian team made of players from the domestic league in Constantine, before they lost 2-1 to the country’s main team in Oran.
