It will be a new Super Eagles up against Zimbabwe this afternoon in Rwanda after coach Jose Peseiro rung as many as six changes to starting XI against Lesotho.
The Eagles barely held visiting Lesotho to a 1-1 draw in Uyo Thursday and Peseiro has gone ahead to make almost wholesale changes to his team today.
Ola Aina, Bruno Onyemaechi, Nathan Tella, Moses Simon, Joseph Aribo, Terem Moffi will all start today after they did not Thursday.
It will be the debut for Bayer Leverkusen winger Tella, while his teammate Victor Boniface has been axed.
Moses Simon looked sharp and hungry when he was brought on against Lesotho and it is now hoped he will ask the Zimbabwe defence serious questions this afternoon.
OGC Nice striker Moffi will be the main attacker.
The survivors from the Lesotho debacle are goalkeeper Francis Uzoho, central defenders Calvin Bassey and Semi Ajayi, defensive midfielder Frank Onyeka and Alex Iwobi, who is expected to bring creativity in midfield.
