The NFF will present Finidi George as the new Super Eagles coach at a media briefing in Abuja Monday.
Finidi, 52, was for 20 months assistant to former Super Eagles head coach Portuguese coach Jose Peseiro.
He led Enyimba to the NPFL title in his second season with the Aba club.
He left the club with them still in with a chance to retain the championship as they are third in the standings, four points behind leaders Enugu Rangers with six rounds of matches to the end of the campaign.
His illustrious playing career included winning the UEFA Champions League with Ajax, 1994 AFCON winners’ medal as well as appearances at the 1994 and 1998 World Cups.
He also played in La Liga and the Premier League.
His immediate task will be two crucial 2026 World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin next month.
Sports Minister John Enoh and NFF president Ibrahim Gusau will attend the media presentation.
