Victor Boniface’s exploits with Belgian club Union St.Gillois have not gone unnoticed as coach Jose Peseiro is set to hand him his first Super Eagles call-up.
The Super Eagles will be guests of World Cup-bound Portugal on November 17 in Lisbon and Boniface is expected to be called up for the encounter.
Union are through to the knockout rounds of the UEFA Europa League thanks in part to the three goals scored by their big Nigeria striker, who has been widely compared to Napoli star striker Victor Osimhen.
Former Flying Eagles star Boniface, who has also scored three goals in the Belgian league, is a top striker, but he could also play on the flanks.
The 21-year-old centre-forward is powerfully built, fast and with great aerial power.
He has already proved to be a good summer signing from Norwegian club Bodo/Glimt for a bargain three Million Euros.
