New signing Jerome Akor has been selected by Montpellier for tomorrow’s new Ligue 1 season opener against Le Havre.
He could therefore make his Ligue 1 debut in front of the fans of his new team.
The former Lillestrom centre-forward was presented to the public Monday and has been training with his new team.
Akor, 23, said he is “sharp” as he is coming from Norway, where the league is already halfway.
He is currently the leading scorer in the Norwegian top league with 15 goals in as many matches.
He has signed a four-year contract with the 2011/2012 Ligue 1 champions.
