Nottingham Forest will be without last season’s top scorer Taiwo Awoniyi for today’s Premier League opening game at Arsenal as he has not recovered fully from injury.
The Super Eagles striker has been nursing an ankle injury.
Forest manager Steve Cooper disclosed that Awoniyi is just resuming training and so the trip to London is coming too soon for the striker.
Awoniyi fired the match winner at home against Arsenal to ensure Forest stayed up in the Premier League last season.
He was the club’s leading scorer with 10 goals.
Awoniyi’s compatriots and Super Eagles teammates Ola Aina and Emmanuel Dennis are available for selection.
Kick-off time is 12.30pm.
