Some will pick Pele as the player they idolised when growing up, for others it would be Ronaldo or Leo Messi, but for Super Eagles winger Moses Simon it is none of these players.
The FC Nantes star has rather picked Joshua Obaje, who played for the likes of Heartland FC and Black Leopards in South Africa, as the player who most inspired him when he started out.
“He was very professional,” he recounted.
“He also drew me very close to him while I was coming through in Kaduna.”
Obaje is now a coach in the Moses Simon football academy in Kaduna.
