Former Flying Eagles striker Muhamed Tijani is set to make his debut this weekend for new Hungarian club Szpari against Ujpest.
Tijani has signed on loan from Czech champions Slavia Praha.
“He is at a very good age, wants to play as much as possible, and is in such a condition that he can be used immediately at the weekend,” said Szpari sports director Tivadar Fekete.
“We have signed a striker with extremely good parameters. We still needed reinforcements in the striker position, so together with Muhamed Tijani we have five players in this position: Marko Kvasina, Dorian Babunski, Bright Edomwonyi, Muhamed Tijani, and the young Oláh Benjámin.
“It was important to sign a player who has been playing in the recent period. We felt that he was extremely motivated, and we are happy that our team was attractive to Muhamed Tijani.”
The striker himself is looking forward to his latest challenge.
“This is a great opportunity for me, I am happy to be a player of the team,” he said.
“The Hungarian championship has developed a lot in recent years, and I want to prove it.
“I am confident that I will help Spartacus with goals, and I hope we will have many victories in the spring and achieve our goal together. The first impressions of the club are very positive.”
They are second bottom of the Hungarian top league with 14 points from 18 matches.
