Terem Moffi has told SCORENigeria he is good to go ahead of his expected Ligue 1 debut for FC Lorient at Stade Reims this weekend.
Moffi, who cost Lorient a record eight million Euros from Belgian club KV Kortrijk this summer, made his first bow for his new French club on Friday in a 2-0 loss at table toppers Rennes.
“I believe I will be ready for my debut hopefully against Reims,” said the 21-year-old striker, who last played a game for Kortrijk on August 15 as his transfer to France dragged on.
He played an hour and posted a fair performance at Rennes, who unsettled Lorient with two quick goals within the first 17 minutes.
“It felt really good being out there playing football again after a long time,” he told SCORENigeria
“It was also a chance to get to understand how my new teammates play.”
Lorient are 17th on the Ligue 1 standings with four points from six matches.
