KV Kortrijk new signing Jonathan Afolabi has said the Belgian club’s former striker helped him to decide on joining up.
Afolabi has moved from the Irish Bohemians on a contract until June 2026.
“I also spoke to Terem Moffi. He was positive about what it feels like to be here. He said nice things about the club and thought it was a nice step forward for me,” he revealed.
The striker with Nigerian roots is this season’s top scorer in the League of Ireland Premier Division, the highest football division in Ireland.
KV Kortrijk are rock bottom of the Belgian championship with 10 points from 20 games.
With 44 goals conceded and only 12 goals scored, they can do with the goals of Afolabi, who has scored 15 goals in 34 games this season.
He has also shone in the Irish cup competition with five goals and seven assists.
