Chuba Akpom finished as top scorer in the English Championship this past season and his club Middlesbrough ought to cash in on those goals this summer, according to former star Carlton Palmer.
Akpom, 27, netted 28 goals in the Championship this past campaign and now ‘Boro have extended the striker’s contract by another year.
He has since attracted interests from clubs across Europe like Lens and Lille in the French Ligue 1.
Carlton Palmer said ‘Boro ought to go ahead and make a good killing on the transfer market by selling him now.
“Should they cash-in now and get a decent fee on him or hold on to him and offer him a new contract in the hope that he can repeat his scoring feat again next season?,” he first asked.
“Given his age of 27, and the fact that he’s never got anywhere near this goals haul before, I think Middlesbrough will cash-in should they get a good offer for the player.
“Say in excess of 12 to 15 Million Pounds.”
