Former Golden Eaglets coach Manu Garba has been in talks with Kano Pillars to be part of the technical crew led by Ibrahim A. Musa ahead of the CAF Confederation Cup.
SCORENigeria learnt that Pillars are, like three other Nigerian continental flag bearers, faced with a challenge of having a coach with a CAF A coaching license to lead them out in the Confederation Cup.
SCORENigeria first broke the news that three of the country’s clubs set for international football – Pillars, Plateau United and Enyimba – are currently led by coaches with CAF B license.
However, Manu Garba has a CAF A license and will fit the bill to lead the Pillars continental charge as he is available after he was not reappointed Golden Eaglets coach.
SCORENigeria further learnt that the coach already met with the Pillars management this week and a three-man committee led by Kano FA chairman Shariff Inuwa Ahlan has been saddled with the responsibility of tabling recommendations on the way out of this present challenge.
