Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has thrown his weight behind Victor Osimhen to shine in the Premier League with the Red Devils.
Media reports have suggested United are considering signing either Osimhen or Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting Lisbon for the new season.
Ferdinand said his choice would be Osimhen.
“If I had to choose between Gyokeres and Osimhen, I would probably choose Osimhen because of his experience,” the legend told The Daily Mirror.
“And he has proven to do will in multiple leagues and he has done well internationally.
“I think he is a top-class number nine, who, again, young players could learn a lot from.
“I’m not saying Gyokeres will fail. I am just saying that if I had a preference, it would be Osimhen.”
