Swedish champions Malmo FF are sweating on the fitness of midfielder Innocent Bonke for tonight’s UEFA Champions League group clash against Juventus.
Defensive midfielder Bonke, who made his Super Eagles debut last week in Cape Verde, is doubtful for tonight’s home tie as he is nursing an unspecified injury after he was forced out early of a 1-1 draw with Norrkoping in a league game at the weekend.
Bonke played a big role in his team’s qualification to the money-spinning group stage of the Champions League.
Fellow Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze is already ruled out of tonight’s Champions League clash between Villarreal and Atalanta as he has not fully recovered from a hamstring injury.
