Abdussalam Magashy has said he hopes to be happy again after he signed a three-year contract with Kalmar FF after they paid AIK a reduced transfer fee for him.
Magashy, 25, hit hard times at AIK on the arrival of Norwegian coach Henning Berg last summer.
“I am very happy to be here. Kalmar FF are a really good team and I love the way they play football,” the midfielder told the website of his new club.
“I think their game will suit my skills perfectly and I can’t wait to get started.
“I want to be happy again and I really am now. See you at the arena, all supporters.”
Kalmar sporting director Jorgen Petersson said he is excited by the versatility of Magashy.
“Abdussalam Magashy is a player who during the time in Värnamo 2022 dominated centrally in the middle in the Allsvenskan,” he remarked.
“He was sometimes used a little higher up the track and sometimes with a slightly lower starting position.
“This is a player who has an incredibly great skill in his balance, technique and strength. He is very good at pushing the ball forward and can be used both as No 6, 8 and 10.”
