Okoye was sent off as early as the seventh minute, when he committed a professional foul by intentionally collidings with Moise Kean outside the box.
Ten-man Udinese will go on to lose the match 5-1 for strugglers Fiorentina to record their first win of the season.
Okoye will now serve out a three-match ban.
