Libya have again called up Barcelona ‘B’ forward Ahmad Al Msmari for their crucial 2025 AFCON double header against the Super Eagles.
Al Msmari is widely regarded as the future of Libyan football.
The centre-forward, who is only 18 years and stands at 1.85 metres tall, joined Barcelona in August from another Spanish club Rayo Vallecano.
He is highly rated and was therefore an unused substitute in Libya’s 2025 AFCON qualifier against Benin, which they lost 2-1 last month.
Libya will be led by newly-appointed coach Nasser Al-Hadhiri to Uyo against the Super Eagles on October 11, before they welcome the three-time African champions to Benina four days later.
They are bottom of Group D with a point, while the Super Eagles lead the standings with four points after two rounds of qualifying matches.
