He joined the London club as a free agent after he was not given a new deal by Scottish giants Rangers for the new season.
The 34-year-old Balogun has reunited with QPR manager Michael Beale after both were previously at Rangers.
Beale described the experienced defender as a “personality leader” both on and off the pitch.
The admiration is mutual as the player described Beale as “one of the best coaches he has worked with”.
He previously played for Brighton in the Premier League as well as in the German Bundesliga.
He has represented Nigeria at the World Cup and AFCON.
