It was sweet and bitter for defender Leon Balogun, who set the ball rolling with an opening goal before he was later forced out due to injury as Rangers recorded an important home win over Danish club Brondby.
Balogun brought along his shooting boots from the Super Eagles to open scoring for Scottish champions Rangers to beat Brondby 2-0 in a UEFA Europa League group game.
Balogun, who scored his first Eagles goal against Central African Republic in Douala, Cameroon, earlier this month, found the target in the 18th minute for Rangers.
However, he was replaced by fellow Super Eagles teammate Calvin Bassey after he got injured in the 64th minute.
Eagles midfielder Joe Aribo played the entire duration for Rangers.
Rangers are now third in Group A with three points from as many matches with Lyon top on nine points.
