Leke James scored twice to take his goals tally this season to five as Norwegian champions Molde FK smashed five past Viking FK.
But the striker still has not signed another contract after his initial deal ran out on July 1.
It is becoming increasingly clear the former Flying Eagles star is holding out for a big transfer away from Norway.
He has previously played in China for the money, but a long-term knee injury marred his time there.
His agent, Atta Aneke, has spoken of offers outside Norway.
Last season, he netted 15 goals for Molde to be crowned champions again.
They are now two points behind leaders Bodo/Glimt after eight rounds of matches in the new season.
