It has been revealed that Premier League clubs Leicester City and Brighton failed to hijack Bright Osayi-Samuel, who is now on his way to Club Brugge as a direct replacement for outgoing Emmanuel Dennis.
Club Brugge have tabled five million Euros for the winger, which QPR have accepted after they first rejected a lower bid.
The player could even fly down to Belgium today for his medical and complete the transfer.
QPR have dropped Osayi-Samuel from today’s English Championship clash against Millwall because “talks are in advanced stage with a Belgian club”.
QPR coach Mark Warburton confirmed that Osayi-Samuel has been left out of the match.
“Bright trained with us yesterday to start in the base today, but talks are now well advanced,” he told the press.
“It was in everyone’s interest that he did not play because there is very strong interest from a Belgian club. Nothing has been signed yet, but the talks are definitely in a final phase.”
