Unknown gunmen who abducted Enyimba midfielder Dayo Ojo and Benjamin Iluyomade from Abia Comets have demanded a ransom of 100 million Naira.
The players were abducted Sunday around Ipele Town on the Benin-Akure Expressway on their way to Akure.
Family sources told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the kidnappers first asked for a ransom of 100 million Naira hours after they made contact with the players’ families.
It was further gathered that on Monday the kidnappers reviewed the ransom downwards to 20 million Naira.
The families are begging to pay a much more affordable sum for the immediate release of the former Sunshine Stars players.
