Samuel Kalu scored his fourth goal of the season for Ligue 1 club Bordeaux today, while Babajide Akintola struck twice for Hatayaspor to record a big home win.
Kalu opened scoring after 14 minutes, before FC Metz fought back in the second half to win 2-1.
He was replaced in the 76th minute.
Bordeaux are 11th on the table.
In Turkey, Akintola scored twice in the second for Hatayaspor to beat Anakaragucu 4-1 at home.
The 25-year-old forward has now netted six goals thus far.
The victory has shot his promoted club to fifth on the Super Lig table with 45 points from 26 matches, 12 points behind leaders Galatasaray.
