Junior Pius has been left seriously devastated after his blunder saw Sint Truiden fall behind to Gent in a Belgian league season opener.
The big central defender, who is on loan from another Belgian club Antwerp, was hauled off after half an hour of action when Gent punished his mistake to go in front.
Jonathan Buatu said all these have shattered Junior Pius.
“Unfortunately for Junior Pius, who has just recovered from a foot injury, it was a huge disappointment,” Buatu told Het Laatste Nieuws .
“I had to replace him before half an hour. That boy is in sackcloth, but our coach has had a good conversation with him. It will be fine.”
Sint Truiden went ahead to win the match 2-1.
