David Akintola has said he will achieve great things with new club Adana Demirspor, who will play this season in the Turkish Super Lig.
Last season, Akintola, 25, featured for another newly promoted club Hatayspor, where he scored seven goals and provided seven assists.
He has signed a contract for three years with Adana Demirspor.
“I want to help the team in any way I can. We want to finish the league in the best position we can. I don’t think we will fail. I believe we will achieve great things in this league,” said the former FC Midtjylland forward.
“There are many experienced players playing at very high levels. With these players I believe that when we become a good team, we will finish the league in a very good place.”
He added: “Adana Demirspor are a club with a history. They are a very big club. Adana is a really big city. I had the opportunity to watch a few games last year. A team with a real story.”
He further said he is eager to hit the ground running when the new season gets underway.
“I am looking forward to the start of the league as soon as possible,” he said.
“I am very happy to be here. It was an easy decision for me when I first started meeting with the club because Adana wanted me.”
