Experienced Nigerian striker John Junior Igbarumah has quit Swedish club Sandvikens IF to join FC Sogdiana in Uzbekistan.
The 32-year-old striker joined Sandvikens ahead of 2015. He left after three seasons to return in 2021.
John Junior scored eight goals and made five assists in the Superettan last season.
He wrote an open letter on the Sandvikens official website.
“To all Sandviken’s supporters, you are fantastic – you are the architects behind my success in the story of my life”, he said.
“I cannot express enough how much your incredible support means to me. Every cheer, every song and every moment you stand behind me on the pitch ignites my passion and drives me to give my very best. Because you have believed in me, through thick and thin, your support becomes even more significant the more I develop.
“As I now take the next step in my professional career, I just want to say that I am loyal.
“Thank you, you are the best fans a player could ask for. I love you guys!”
