Jamilu Collins has told SCORENigeria in an exclusive interview the Super Eagles are primed for victory in Sunday’s AFCON semifinal against Algeria in Cairo.
Nigeria and Algeria will come face-to-face again after both teams slugged it out in the qualifying tournament for the 2018 World Cup.
This time the prize is a place in the final of the 2019 AFCON.
Germany-based defender Collins said he expects a difficult game against Algeria, who are unbeaten at this year’s AFCON.
“It will be a tough game, a difficult game like the other AFCON games have been, but we‘re focused and ready for it,” he told SCORENigeria
“Hopefully, we will get the result.”
Collins made his AFCON debut in the quarterfinal against South Africa after a thigh injury sidelined him from the Eagles group games.
He regained his place from the impressive Ola Aina and did well to keep Bafana Bafana danger man Percy Tau quiet for the entire game.
“I was physically ready and gave everything so as to make our country proud,” he said.
