Chidozie Awaziem, who has earned top praise from Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle, will miss today’s French Ligue 1 home game against Metz due to a muscle injury.
The 28-year-old defender was forced out of Wednesday’s 5-3 loss by FC Nantes to Monaco.
The hamstring strain has ruled him out of today’s match against Metz as a result and Junior Mwanga will be his likely replacement.
FC Nantes are 15th in the Ligue 1 standings with nine points from 10 matches, while promoted Metz are rock bottom on five points.
