Initial fears that Super Eagles newly-capped defender Ryan Alebiosu has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2025 AFCON have been allayed.
Alebiosu played the whole 90 minutes when he made his Super Eagles debut against Uganda Tuesday in Fes.
However, it was later reported that he suffered a deep cut on his favoured right leg that could rule him of the rest of the tournament in Morocco.
Blackburn Rovers manager Valerien Ismael disclosed that the injury is not “major”.
“Ryan Alebiosu played 90 minutes for Nigeria with no problem. He has a cut, but it’s nothing major for us,” he said.
