Ryan Alebiosu, who suffered a deep cut in a final 2025 AFCON Group C clash against Uganda, has stayed away from the Super Eagles training as officials told SCORENigeria that it will take some days before the injury heals.
It was learnt that cut was stitched and in order that the cut does not open up again.
“He will need at least five days for the stitched part of the leg to heal and then he can return to training.”
There were initial fears that Alebiosu has been ruled out for the rest of the tournament as a result of the injury, but his English Championship club Blackburn Rovers have since downplayed this by describing the injury as “not major”.
