Super Eagles midfielder Alhassan Yusuf will undergo a scan in the next 24 hours to ascertain the extent of the injury he suffered today against Equatorial Guinea.
He is suspected to have suffered a quad injury and was forced out of his AFCON debut after he impressed for the 68 minutes he was on the pitch.
A source told SCORENigeria that the player is walking normally and “that would not have been possible if he tore his front thigh muscles”.
The Antwerp star was certainly one of the major positives from a disappointing 1-1 draw with Equatorial Guinea.
He held his own despite the physicality of the match and did not look out of place for a player who was only called up last week after injury ruled Wilfred Ndidi out of the tournament.
