Ike Ugbo has called off a medical with Belgian club Genk after Olympique Marseille offered to pay him more to join them from Chelsea.
Ugbo was all but set to join Genk this week after the Belgian club had reportedly agreed terms with Chelsea.
However, Marseille have since stepped in and it is understood they will pay the young striker as much as one and half Million Euros more than Genk would have.
Several sources from France have reported that the striker has found the Marseille move a lot more interesting.
Ugbo, whose parents are Nigerian, shone at Cercle Brugge last season on loan from Chelsea.
His 17 goals helped the modest club to avoid relegation.
