Lagos-born Arnaut Danjuma has promised to make the fans of Villarreal proud after he became the most expensive signing by the Europa League winners today.
The left winger Danjuma has signed a contract till 2026.
He joined the La Liga club from English Championship side Bournemouth, who got 23.5 Million Euros for the transfer.
“I hope to make the Villarreal fans proud,” he vowed in a promotional video announcing his arrival.
“I am very happy to be finally here. Let’s get to work!”
His arrival at Villarreal will not jeopardise the position of Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze as reported.
Right-footed Danjuma plays on the left wing, while Chukwueze plays on the right flank even though he is left-footed.
