Odion Ighalo has yet to decide on his future after Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shensua proposed him a new two-year contract, which will run till December 2024.
His existing contract with Shanghai Shensua will be up in December 2022.
Ighalo is on loan at Manchester United till the end of the season with various reports suggesting he could be offered a permanent deal by the Premier League club at the end of his loan spell.
Media reports said the 30-year-old striker will now hold out for United offer before he decides his future.
This week, the media in China revealed that Shanghai Shensua were set to resign former star Obafemi Martins, 35, as a direct replacement for Ighalo.
Martins flew back this week to China.
