Manchester United have signed Odion Ighalo on loan till season’s end, but a buy-out option is still being discussed with his Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shensua.
Reports suggested a buy-out has not yet been agreed by both clubs, but United have agreed this in principle.
The clubs will discuss this issue next week because time was running out to finalise the loan move in the first instance.
Ighalo has returned to familiar terrain after he scored 16 goals in 55 appearances with Watford in the Premier League before his move to China three years ago.
