Ifeanyi Mathew looks set to move to Denmark after he revealed he will not extend his contract with Norwegian club Lillestrom.
Mathew, 23, spent four years at Lillestrom and his time with the club will end on July 31 after which he said he will “try another challenge”.
It has since been found out that Aalborg are one of the Danish clubs interested in signing him.
“The future will bring a lot, I am linked to a Danish club. My agent told me that. But we have to wait and see for July,” Mathew told Eurosport.
“Yes, he (his agent, Atta Aneke) told me that too (about Aalborg). And then he told me about another Danish team as well. So, I don’t know which one of them it will be. Either Aalborg or another team in Denmark.”
Lillestrom sports director Simon Mesfin confirmed interest from Denmark for the player, while the player’s agent, Attah, admitted he is studying several offers, but would rather not name any clubs.
